Solar Heritage provides a peaceful and unique venue for committing your loved one’s ashes to the sea, as well as a special space for celebrating their life. Our solar boat offers an intimate environment where families and friends can come together away from distractions, surrounded by the tranquillity of the water. Our crew will give you the space and time you require to conduct your own gathering (please note we do not offer a led service on board).
The waters of Chichester Harbour offer a serene and picturesque location, renowned for their natural beauty and unspoilt character. Framed by the Sussex countryside and with views across to the South Downs beyond, the harbour’s calm waters, salt marshes and ever-changing skies create a peaceful backdrop for remembrance. This gentle environment encourages reflection and provides a sense of connection to nature, making it a fitting place to honour a loved one’s memory.
Trips typically depart from Itchenor, West Sussex for most of the year, and from Emsworth, Hampshire during the Easter and Summer holidays through to early September. In some circumstances, there may be flexibility for alternative departure points, dependent on access, tides and local conditions.
